The Real Monarchs land Ibrahim Bancé on loan from ASEC Mimosas
Update, 10 a.m .: RSL Communications has announced the move. He joins Real Monarchs, not Real Salt Lake.
Tony Beltran, Deputy Managing Director of RSL sur Bancé:
“The Club is delighted to welcome Ibrahim to Salt Lake City and the Real Monarchs. Ibrahim is an exciting young striker with club and international experience. We look forward to seeing its continued growth within our organization. “
In what is a bit unexpected, Real Salt Lake have apparently landed a midfielder on loan from their parent club in Ivory Coast.
Ibrahim Bancé, 20, joins RSL on loan, according to a tweet from ASEC Mimosas.
Bancé has played for ASEC Mimosas throughout his career, starting at the club as a young player, according to Transfermarkt. He spent a season on loan at Helsinborg, Sweden.
Information on Bancé is scarce, but a highlight reel shows him largely playing left and middle in a role that is not a total striker.
Exceptionally, this move was announced by the parent club, which means there probably isn’t much speculation about what ‘if’ is needed here. Many questions will be asked about the “why”, especially with the limited player information available.
We contacted RSL Communications to confirm the move.
